# Monitoring Data Reception in Data Hub

> Data Hub surfaces data health per variable via an Online/Offline reception state and a per-entity audit log, rather than a workspace-wide monitoring dashboard.

Data Hub does not have a centralized sync/pipeline monitoring dashboard, alerting rules, or webhook-based alerting. Data health is visible at the variable level instead:

## Data reception status

Every variable has a **data reception** state — see [Core Concepts](/core-concepts#variables):

| Status      | Meaning                        |
| ----------- | ------------------------------ |
| **Online**  | Receiving data normally        |
| **Offline** | No data for more than 12 hours |

## Logs

Every metered entity and variable has a **Logs** tab — an audit trail of changes and activity, including user-added notes, timestamps, and a description of what changed. Logs can be filtered by date and browsed chronologically. See [Core Concepts](/core-concepts#logs).

<Note>
  There is no confirmed workspace-wide "all sources at a glance" monitoring view, nor configurable failure alerts (email/Slack/webhook) today. If your organization needs proactive alerting when a variable goes offline, that's currently a manual check via the Online/Offline status rather than an automated notification.
